The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of telecommunications cabling and infrastructure, and be comfortable working in commercial, industrial, or residential settings.What you'll be doing:Assist with the installation of structured cabling systems, including fiber optic cablePull, route, label, and terminate cable in accordance with project specifications and industry standardsInstall cable trays, conduit, J-hooks, and other support systemsSet up telecommunications closets, racks, patch panels, and related hardwareMaintain a clean and organized work environmentAdhere to health and safety regulations and wear proper PPE at all timesWork collaboratively with technicians, electricians, and site supervisorsUse hand tools and basic power tools (e.g., drills, fish tape, ladders, etc.)Perform daily job site clean-up and material organizationLoad and unload tools, equipment, and materialsTravel to different job sites throughout the GTA as neededSkills & Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent preferredPrior experience in structured cabling, electrical, or general construction is an assetWorking at Heights, WHMIS, and other safety certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain)Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials (50+ lbs) and work in confined spaces or at heightsAbility to read and interpret basic blueprints and cable layouts is a plusStrong work ethic and reliabilityValid G-class driver’s license and access to transportation is an assetWillingness to work early shifts, overtime, or weekends as required by project schedulesIndoor and outdoor job sites across the GTAConstruction sites, office buildings and residential buildingsFast-paced, team-oriented environmentWhat's in it for you?Competitive base salary with a yearly performance bonus tied to both company success and your individual achievements.Permanent, full-time position.A comprehensive group insurance plan - medical, dental, vision care with health and lifestyle spending accounts.A fantastic parental leave top-up program.At Beanfield, we are proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where all qualified applicants are considered for employment without regard to race, colour, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or any other protected status.Beanfield is dedicated to providing access, equal opportunity, and reasonable accommodation for individuals with disabilities in all aspects of employment, as well as in our services, programs, and activities.
