We’ll fit your area of expertise to the seniors you’ll care for.Responsibilities:Assisting clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, and dressingAssisting clients with instrumental activities of daily living such as light housekeeping and meal preparationMonitoring and reporting any changes in the client's condition to the healthcare teamProviding assistance with mobility and transferring patients safelySupporting patients with eating and drinking, adhering to dietary requirementsAssisting with medication reminders and medication administration under supervisionMaintaining a clean and safe environment for patientsProviding emotional support and companionship to patients and their familiesQualifications:Compassionate and empathetic demeanorExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsMust be able to speak and write in English; other languages will be an assetRequirements:Current registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker RegistryCompletion of a recognized Health Care Assistant programPrevious experience working as a Health Care Assistant in a healthcare setting (minimum 1 year)Negative TB test completed in the past 90 daysA negative Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check issued in the past 90 daysCertification in CPR and First Aid (preferred)Reliable transportation and flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekendsBenefits:$23.50-$25.00 per hourFlexible ScheduleProfessional DevelopmentPaid Training and DevelopmentOpportunities for AdvancementSchedule:Day shiftEvening shiftMonday to FridayNight shiftWeekends as neededWeekends only #J-18808-Ljbffr
