Join to apply for the NURSING UNIT CLERK role at Northern Health - BC Northern Health is looking for an experienced, highly efficient, and self‑directed Nursing Unit Clerk. In accordance with established vision and values of the organization and working under general supervision, the Nursing Unit Assistant performs a variety of clerical duties related to the operation of a patient/resident care area such as acting as a communication link for the Unit by transcribing and processing physicians’ orders, communicating with other departments and hospitals, coordinating patient/resident appointments, arranging patient/resident tests and receiving results, receiving and directing visitors, telephone answering, assembling/maintaining patient/resident charts and performing keyboarding and data entry responsibilities. Nursing Unit Clerk Certification Is Required For This Position. Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days - 07:30 to 15:30, Rotating Hospital Information: Dawson Creek & District Hospital: a Full Service Community Hospital that provides services to Dawson Creek and surrounding communities with 31 acute care beds and 15 regional adult psychiatric beds. Services include: Emergency, ICU, Day Surgery, Respiratory Therapy, Primary Care, Acute Care, Diagnostic Imaging, Laboratory. Visiting Specialists: Urology, Dermatology, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology.
