As a member of one of our Client-focused Fund Accounting teams, the Fund Accountant is responsible primarily for producing a daily/weekly/monthly Net Asset Value per Unit (NAVPU) for each assigned Client portfolio, in an accurate and timely manner. The position will also assist with and complete other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will have a continuous improvement mindset, the ability to work with teams across geographical locations, and proven experience going above and beyond client expectations.Core ResponsibilitiesMaintain the accounting records of Client portfolios (trades, expenses, accruals, etc.)Produce a daily, weekly, or monthly net asset values for each client in an accurate and timely mannerPrepare draft financial statements, audit information packages and tax returns for clientsDevelop a professional and productive relationship with Clients and SGGG-FSI staffWork to continually improve the processes associated with your assigned functionsKeep management informed of any and all issues that could have a Client impactQualificationsRequiredPost-secondary education in a relevant fieldAdvanced Microsoft Office skills – particularly ExcelClear and fluent communication skills (written, verbal) are essential to this roleWork with minimal supervision to prioritize and manage workEffective member of a teamThrives in a fast pace working environment with competing deadlinesSuperior communication and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detailAssetsCSC or IFIC Mutual Funds Operations coursePossess or in process of obtaining a professional designation such as CPA, CFA etc.Previous Co-op/Intern experienceFund accounting experience, in a daily or monthly valuation environmentAbout SGGG Fund Services Inc.SGGG Fund Services is Canada’s largest independent administrator of alternative funds with $95 billion (CAD) under administration.
