Senior Exchange Administrator (Exchange 2016/2019 + Email Security) Dhitek IT Solutions And Services INC. is recruiting a Senior Exchange Administrator to support enterprise‑level email, messaging, and collaboration services for the Government of Alberta. The role focuses on Exchange 2016/2019, enterprise email security, Microsoft Teams / Skype for Business support, and large‑scale Microsoft architecture administration. Scope of Services Design, plan, implement, and support Exchange 2016/2019 environments Perform upgrades, migrations, patch management, and Exchange DAG operations Manage mailbox databases, mail flow, retention policies, and transport rules Support anti‑spam, anti‑phishing, and email security services Troubleshoot secure mail delivery, quarantine, bulk mail, and transport issues Work with enterprise‑level security tools and compliance frameworks Support Skype for Business and Microsoft Teams in large enterprise environments Manage Teams policies, channels, conferencing, voice configurations, and coexistence modes Support Microsoft architecture, installation, and administration Manage identity, authentication, and access policies Perform access management activities for Microsoft 365 tenants Participate in change windows, including evenings/weekends Log and document changes, incidents, and service requests Ensure system availability and performance within SLAs Work with cross‑functional technical teams, security, and business units Must‑Have Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, Math, or Engineering (or equivalent) 8+ years designing, planning, implementing, and supporting Exchange 2016/2019 8+ years supporting email security solutions (anti‑spam, anti‑phishing, malware protection) 8+ years supporting Skype for Business or Microsoft Teams (enterprise) 8+ years in Microsoft architecture, installation, and administration in enterprise environments Ability to work evenings/weekends during change windows (as required) Ability to work onsite in Edmonton Nice to Have Experience 5+ years requirements gathering, analysis, and design for M365 solutions 5+ years configuring & maintaining Quest Exchange Migration Wizard 5+ years implementing & supporting Microsoft Teams 5+ years user identity verification processes and user ID lifecycle management 3+ years migrating from on‑prem Skype for Business to Teams 5+ years access management in Microsoft 365 tenants 5+ years information management (litigation holds, eDiscovery, retention) 3+ years supporting bulk mail delivery platforms 5+ years anti‑spam administration 5+ years naming standards, usage standards, mailbox plans, policy governance 4+ years experience working in the public sector 8+ years experience in Government of Alberta domain or similar enterprise environment Working Conditions Hours/day: 7.25 Hours/week: 36.25 Estimated monthly sheet frequency: Monthly Start day of week: First day of the month Total contract hours: 1,493.50 Contract term: Initial term + 6‑month extension option Application Process Send resume to recruiting@dhitek.com Include a resume in MMM/YYYY format with detailed responsibilities Provide 3 professional references (most recent first) Pass background check and complete mandatory GoA training (FOIP, Cybersecurity, Information Management, Respectful Workplace) #J-18808-Ljbffr
