Your Role The Radio-Canada Regional Media finance team that handles budgetary reporting and analysis is looking for an Accounting Officer. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Controller. You will perform accounting and administration duties and carry out tasks to ensure that requests are processed in line with corporate policies, standards and procedures. You will be responsible for entering, processing and interpreting data essential to your department’s operations, gathering information and taking action in response to internal and external service requests. You will ensure that the relevant procedures and policies are followed and perform the administrative duties required to run the department. Additionally, you will interpret financial management standards, policies and procedures, advise managers in resolving any issues that arise in processing financial data or reporting, contact internal clients to follow up on contractual obligations, generate payments once they are confirmed, and work regularly with a variety of departments across Radio-Canada. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in administration (accounting or finance option), an asset, and one year’s experience; or a college diploma (DCS) in administration and at least two years’ experience; or seven years’ experience performing related duties. Ability to manage priorities, be organized and work well under tight deadlines. Ability to be thorough, meticulous, accurate, resourceful, discreet, concise, curious and adapt easily to new computer tools. Interest in and knack for optimizing tools and procedures. Excellent interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office and Google Workspace suites. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Solid command of spoken and written French (working language). Knowledge of English an asset. Selection Process Excel test. Interview. Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.
