Ron Brent Elementary School – 1.0 FTE – Gr. K‑7 Resource/ELL/LA/Library – Limited Duration Contract Teacher Ron Brent Elementary School is seeking a qualified teacher to support Grades K‑7 in the areas of resource, English as a Second Language, Language Arts, and library services. The position is a 1.0 FTE limited‑duration contract within School District No. 57 (Prince George). Applicants with assessment and trauma‑informed practice experience are preferred. Qualifications and Experience Valid BC Ministry of Education teaching certificate or proof of application. Knowledge of the Ministry of Education’s redesigned curriculum and core competencies. Evidence of appropriate teaching qualifications and experience. Proven ability with assessment‑as‑and‑for‑learning strategies. Successful experience integrating local Indigenous culture and traditions into curriculum (knowledge of First Nations Principles and the Principles of Truth and Reconciliation). Ability to use a variety of teaching and learning strategies that accommodate the needs of all learners in an inclusive setting. Successful experience with experiential and/or inquiry learning opportunities. Training and experience in supporting social and emotional learning. Ability to develop a positive learning environment and strong classroom management skills. Commitment to collaborating in a team setting. Commitment to using and integrating technology into the curriculum. Positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community. Current, valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel as required. Salary per collective agreement (current grid $49,769 – $95,681, based on TQS and experience).
