Join to apply for the Bilingual Office/HR Manager role at McMillan LLP We have an exciting role open as an Office/Human Resources Manager in our Montreal office. Your focus will be providing leadership, coordination and supporting the day‑to‑day operations of the Montreal office. This role has a variety of responsibilities while working with professional staff and national managers/directors to foster a collegial and collaborative culture. You will play a pivotal role supporting local office operations and Human Resources (HR) service delivery, including National HR initiatives. Please note that this role offers a hybrid work arrangement. Each week will combine both working from your home office and working from the McMillan office. What You’ll Do Oversee day‑to‑day administration of facilities and office services in the Montreal office Provide leadership and coaching to the HR functions Collaborate with the national HR team on recruitment, performance management, compensation, and employee relations Assist with planning and execution of local office social events and charitable initiatives Liaise with Building Property Management for building notices, repairs, and maintenance Drive health and safety team initiatives and ensure compliance Ensure compliance with Employment Standards of Quebec and OQLF requirements Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and engaging work environment Focus on employee engagement and communication for programs like service recognition, wellness, and professional development Manage a team of legal administrative assistants and ensure effective resource management Conduct new hire orientations, office tours, and exit interviews Support local initiatives, projects, and programs while exemplifying firm values What You Bring Minimum of 5 years experience in a Human Resources Generalist role; legal or professional services environment is an asset Experience working (verbal and written) in both official languages‑French and English Bachelor’s Degree and/or completion of a postgraduate Human Resources Program An HRPA designation is considered an asset Previous supervisory and/or management experience is required Demonstrated enthusiasm, strategic leadership, coaching, facilitation, and relationship management skills Proven ability to partner with a variety of stakeholders, an ability to listen and build confidence, interacting with people at all levels of the organization with tact, diplomacy and professionalism Develop, coach and motivate people and foster a positive work environment Effective organizational, problem‑solving, planning and analytical skills; demonstrated use of sound judgment and reliable decision making Ability to perform well under time constraints to meet deadlines Ability to resolve problems effectively exercising creative and analytical thinking Ability to work with minimal supervision and enjoy working in a fast‑paced, team‑based environment Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and generally able to embrace new technology/information systems McMillan Offers You Growth Mentorship and Support Training as Software Evolves Commensurate Compensation And Benefits Package Fun Work Environment McMillan = You.
