p>Job Summary

The Leukemia/Bone Marrow Transplant Program of British Columbia is seeking General Internal Medicine physicians to work in the Leukemia/BMT Program at Vancouver General Hospital. This is a part-time service contract (0.They will collaborate in the care of these patients with the leukemia/bone marrow transplant attending physicians, fellows-in-training, and clinical associates working with the program. The GIM physicians will take part in the call and weekend schedule.

Minimum Requirements

Successful candidates will be Licentiates of the Medical Council of Canada, hold a BC Medical License, and current certificate with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of BC, and meet credentialing requirements at BC cancer and VGH.

Successful candidates will have:

  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
  • Knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).
Qualifications

Education, Licensing, & Experience:

  • Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) License – Full
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) – Mandatory
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) – Mandatory
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – Mandatory
