OverviewNaylor Building Partnerships Inc. is currently recruiting for an Accounts Receivable Team Lead to join our Accounting team. The successful candidate will be an individual who thrives at both being directly responsible for managing their own portfolio of accounts (doing active collections as part of their day-to-day responsibilities) in addition to coaching and mentoring the AR team. This candidate must be able to work full-time from our Oakville office location (not a remote role).ResponsibilitiesSupport the AR team, ensuring efficient day-to-day operationsMonitor aging reports and drive timely collections to improve cash flowResolve escalated customer disputes and ensure excellent client serviceCollaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and other departments to resolve billing and payment issuesAct as a backup for all AR functions (preparing bank deposits and posting cash receipts; processing credit card payments; uploading customer invoices and AR documents in customers' online portals)Assist in month-end and year-end close and audit processes related to AR.Identify and implement process improvements to streamline AR functions.Train, mentor, and develop AR staff, including performance reviews and career developmentConducting and approving customer credit checks as needed and answering collections callsSetting up/ maintaining customer accounts in ERP systemGeneral office duties such as answering phones, filing photocopying invoices, sending emails and collections correspondences.RequirementsUniversity Degree or College Diploma in a Finance or Accounting program is requiredStrong understanding of billing and collection processes is preferred2+ years related experience in a similar role is preferredExperience with accounting software, preferably Microsoft GP 10.0, considered an assetStrong organization skills and attention to detailStrong communication and problem solving skills and ability to work well in a team environmentAbility to multitask in a busy office environmentWillingness to take on other duties as neededWe are committed to providing an inclusive and barrier-free workplace that reflects the communities we serve.
