Reporting to the Senior Manager, Software Development, you'll play a key role in advancing our Company Data System, enhancing data pipelines, and optimizing tools. You'll work with technologies such as Druid, Redshift, DBT, Cube, and Metabase, focusing on data collection, modeling, and activation. Collaborating closely with a dynamic team of developers, data architects, and product managers, you'll engage with stakeholder teams including R&D, Marketing, Finance, and RevOps. This remote position (Canada) offers the chance to impact product features such as Analytics, Notifications, Data Privacy Compliance (GDPR), and integrations. What You’ll Work On Lead key projects enhancing our data pipeline and roadmap while evaluating cutting‑edge technologies. Promote the adoption of internally developed tools by engaging users, creating guides, and ensuring smooth integration with existing systems. Maintain high standards for code development and review. Participate in our incident management process, providing swift resolutions and root‑cause analyses. Integrate cost‑effectiveness and security considerations into our data practices, ensuring scalability, reliability, and economic viability. What You’ll Bring To This Role 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with deep expertise in data systems. Strong data modeling skills for robust, scalable, and performance‑optimized designs. Execution and delivery ownership, scoping large initiatives and keeping work visible. Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement. Collaboration across R&D, RevOps, and other teams to build a company‑wide data system. Leadership in quality, throughput, reliability, and performance. Lean, experimental mindset with rapid iteration. Mentorship and role modeling for best practices. Our Tech Stack AWS RDS, Kinesis, Fivetran, Redshift, Druid, S3, DBT, Cube, Census, Metabase, Looker. Node.js and Ruby on Rails. MySQL, PostgreSQL. Airflow, Terraform, Kubernetes. Monitors: Rollbar, Datadog, Datadog. DataHub, Secoda for lineage and cataloging.
