Job Description About the role This is an exciting opportunity for a creative communications professional who is passionate about transforming the Sun Life Health business. The Senior Communications Specialist provides communications consulting support, including research, writing, and timely delivery of communications and marketing initiatives targeting Group Benefits (GB) plan sponsors, plan members, plan advisors, consultants and Client‑facing staff. Reporting to the Manager, GB Communications, the Senior Communications Specialist will help implement communications plans supporting GB products and offerings, with a focus on creating engaging communications that support our Purpose of helping our Clients achieve lifetime financial security and live healthier lives. What will you do? Work with the GB Communications team to write and develop communications and marketing materials for different audiences about their group benefits workplace plans, including project management. Work with business partners across GB, Market Development (business development, shared services, product development, etc.) on communications initiatives. Manage the creation and maintenance of Client‑facing content, presentation slides, templates, marketing collateral, and digital assets. Work with designers, translation, legal, other internal business partners, as appropriate. Develop strong relationships with internal key stakeholders across Sun Life to collaborate and help drive successful campaigns that deliver results. What do you need to succeed? A minimum of 4‑6 years experience in copywriting, business writing or content marketing, preferably in the group benefits or financial services‑related industry. Post‑secondary education in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations and/or relevant experience. Business to business communications experience. Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills are essential. Ability to adapt the style, tone and complexity of topics in simplified and engaging content terms. Strong project, time management and organizational skills – ability to manage multiple priorities, while working with multiple stakeholders, within tight deadlines. Results oriented and resourceful with strong analytical skills. Ability to work independently and as a part of a team. As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only as the position reports to a unilingual English‑speaking manager outside Quebec. Preferred Skills Bilingual (French/English) is an asset. Unique Requirements A writing assignment will be required as part of the interview process. What's in it for you?
