Scope of Position

Reporting to the Vice President, Finance Platform, Capital Markets the Senior Manager, Transformation Office provides business analysis and consulting support to capital markets businesses and related support teams. They are accountable for defining target state operating models, including target state processes, technology, and data requirements in partnership with system integrators and internal delivery teams. These roles are a critical component of the Transformation Office, ensuring that the business needs of impacted teams are delivered through the program.

The incumbent will be the principal business consultant responsible for orchestrating collaboration across Front, Middle, and Back Office teams to deliver transformation objectives.

Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define transformation objectives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic priorities.
  2. Act as the primary liaison between the Transformation Office and operational teams in Front, Middle, and Back Offices.
  3. Support the development of business cases through the identification and quantification of business benefits. li>
  4. Contribute to detailed plans for the successful execution of the transformation program, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  5. Prioritize business requirements and user stories in alignment with key system integration milestones and operating model changes.
  6. Lead the analysis of existing processes, technology, and data flows across the organization.
  7. Work with technical teams to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  8. Redesign business processes to align with the capabilities of new systems and leading practices.
  9. Support testing of new systems and processes to ensure business requirements are met. Participate in the defect management and solution design where requirements are impacted.
  10. Collaborate with the Change Management team to design and execute strategies to manage organizational impacts.
  11. Support training initiatives to ensure teams across Front, Middle, and Back Offices are prepared for new systems and processes.
  12. Identify potential risks and issues related to technology, process and organizational changes.
  13. Monitor the effectiveness of new systems and processes post-implementation, ensuring objectives are met.
  14. Provide guidance and mentorship to Business Analysts and other team members involved in the program to develop and sustain disciplined program delivery behaviours.
  15. Drive a focus on quality and efficiency throughout the transformation lifecycle.
  16. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to foster buy-in and support the transformation program by fostering a culture of transparency, collaboration, and service excellence.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum 7-9 years experience managing large programs and/or transformation initiatives in the Financial Services industry.
  2. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Accounting, or Finance.
  3. Strong knowledge of project/program management best practices and standards.
  4. Proven ability to manage complex projects and programs with competing priorities.
  5. Expert communication and presentation skills with all levels of business, technology, and control partner stakeholders. Ability to translate and synthesize complex topics and solicit decisions from senior executives.
  6. Certifications in Agile delivery, Lean, Six Sigma, Business Process Notation, Change Management are considered an asset.
  7. Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) is considered an asset.
  8. Commitment to standards of professionalism, internal controls, and compliance.
