We are deeply committed to sustainable design and minimizing our footprint while delivering maximum value to our clients.The Electrical Department specializes in the design of Lighting, Power Distribution, Fire Alarm, Nurse Call, Communications, and Security systems for commercial, healthcare, institutional, retail, residential, and mixed‑use high‑rise projects. We are currently seeking a Junior Electrical Technologist or Designer for our Edmonton office as we expand. We help staff reach their full potential by providing the tools, training, and project experience needed for professional and personal growth.Your Key ResponsibilitiesCollect client and project information and prepare electrical designs in accordance with best‑practice design standards and relevant codes.Use AutoCAD to prepare 2D drawing sets.Use Revit to build 3D Building Information Models (BIM) and export to 2D drawing sets.Validate engineered designs with calculation software such as AGi32 and ETAP.Coordinate electrical design with Architecture, Structural, Mechanical, Civil, and other project consultants under the direction of the project engineer.Visit project sites to collect required information.Visit construction sites to conduct construction reviews.Perform other duties assigned by project engineers.Compensation Range$55,000 - $60,000Your Capabilities and CredentialsEducation and CertificationMinimum 2 years of experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit.Design experience with Lighting, Power Distribution, Fire Alarm, and Communications systems is an asset.Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Technology program.Registration as a Certified Engineering Technologist with ASET is preferred, but not essential.ExperienceProficiency in AutoCAD and BIM (Revit).Working knowledge of relevant building electrical engineering codes and standards.Basic understanding of electrical engineering concepts.Experience with AGi32 is an asset.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with other disciplines team members.Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.Understanding of multidisciplinary coordination throughout design and construction.LEED® or similar green building certification is an asset.How to ApplyAll interested applicants should send their resume and cover letter to careers@twsengineering.com.
