About the Role We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing design team. The successful candidate will lead the design and coordination of electrical systems for a variety of projects including multi‑unit residential, commercial, institutional, retail, and industrial buildings. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys technical design, project leadership, and mentoring junior staff. Key Responsibilities Lead junior staff in designing electrical and associated systems for new construction and renovation projects. Prepare detailed electrical drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit. Perform load calculations, short‑circuit analysis, and coordination studies using SKM PowerTools. Conduct lighting calculations and design using AGI32. Coordinate with clients, architects, mechanical engineers, and other design team members to ensure integrated and code‑compliant designs. Review and seal drawings, provide construction administration, and perform site reviews as required. Mentor junior designers and provide technical guidance to the team. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution. Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration in Canadian Provinces (NS, NB, NFLD, PEI and Ont.). Minimum 5 years of experience in the design of building electrical systems. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SKM PowerTools, and AGI32 considered an asset. Strong understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and applicable building codes. Excellent communication, coordination, and problem‑solving skills. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a collaborative team environment. Strong problem‑solving abilities and project management skills.
