As a Quality Automation Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in ownership, and has a strong focus on automation.How you will contribute to BMC's and your own success:Collaborate with product managers and scrum masters to understand requirements and define the scope and objectives of QA testing.Develop comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases across multiple projects.Execute various types of testing, including functional, regression, load, and system testing.Work closely with UI/UX designers and developers to ensure requirements are clearly understood and quality goals are achieved.Define and articulate quality acceptance criteria for new features and releases.Ensure the overall quality and reliability of the product through rigorous testing and validation.Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and automation frameworks.Maintain a strong focus on automation and scalability in testing practices.To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:1–2 years of experience in software testing (professional or academic).Strong communicator with sharp attention to detail.Skilled in testing web apps across browsers and devices.Familiar with API testing, systems integration, and SDLC.Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Experienced with Agile methodologies and black-box testing.Proficient in test planning, case creation, and issue tracking tools.Comfortable with databases and command-line environments (Windows, macOS, Unix).Basic understanding of programming and AI concepts.Strong troubleshooting skills using logs and diagnostics.Nice to Have:Experience with Jira or similar project management tools.Scripting experience for automation tasks.Familiarity with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Jasmine, Cypress, or similar.Background in programming or software development.Compensation and BenefitsThe annual base salary range represents the low and high end of the BMC salary range for this position.
