The Design Leader reports directly to a Senior Manager with extensive experience in our Commercial Division and works with several team members who have a strong base of knowledge and industry experience.Design for commercial buildings is primarily concerned with creating the most suitable environment for people-oriented spaces. Almost forty years ago, HH Angus created a specialized division for tenant work to address the fast-paced schedule of the commercial fitout sector. Our in-house designers and engineers understand the priorities and objectives of commercial clients, as well as the speed-to-market factor that is inherent in this type of work. Today, our successful relationships in this market are a result of following a few simple rules: respond quickly, provide total client support, deliver solutions with long-term value, and always keep focused on one important goal - the client's peace of mind.Come Grow With UsResponsibilities IncludeRecognized technical subject matter expert within the organization.Completes major parts of projects with high technical complexity.Acts as a design lead for complex technical projects and supports project management activities related to the designwork stream.Communicates with clients, particularly at senior levels, to determine design requirements and resolve issues.Regularly peer reviews work of other designers, particularly for complex designs.Ensures technical accuracy of all design deliverables.Accountable for all designs through to construction completion.Other duties as required.The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:College diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent program10+ years engineering consulting preferredKnowledge of AutoCAD and RevitForward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas.Good accuracy and documentation skillsAbility to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams.Passionate about buildings and the built environmentWe offer a competitive compensation package in an exceptional environment focused on growth and development.HH Angus is committed to providing an accessible work environment.
