Maintain knowledge of Community Trust residential mortgage underwriting policies, procedures, and products. Negotiate, structure, and evaluate received mortgage applications according to internal policies. Manage portfolio risk by exercising consistent, objective credit decisions within authorized limits, escalating with rationale as needed. Issue mortgage commitments with appropriate conditions. Partner with Partner Experience to deliver top‑class partner experience. Collaborate with Credit Quality Assurance and Funding teams to meet targets. Stay current with competition, industry trends, and market conditions. Maintain accurate record‑keeping to meet company standards. Identify continuous improvement opportunities. Follow AML procedures, conducting inquiries and implementing corrective actions when necessary. Adhere to compliance and operational risk controls per company policies. Effectively manage tasks and cases to meet Service Level Agreements. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years residential origination experience, preferably in alternative lending. Fluency in French preferred. Post‑secondary education preferred. Working knowledge of Google Workspace applications. Additional Skills and Experience Ability to provide alternate solutions based on product and guideline availability. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Capable of handling multiple tasks and meeting stringent deadlines. Tactful, diplomatic, and persistently polite. Results‑oriented, self‑motivated, and confident. Positive, can‑do attitude with creative problem‑solving. Building and maintaining healthy working relationships. Ability to navigate dynamic, fast‑paced environments and organizational change. Commitment to outstanding customer service. Exceptional analytical skills and keen eye for detail. Strong written and verbal business communication skills. Strong negotiation and sales skills.
