If you00re looking for an exciting and rewarding opportunity to showcase your hospitality talent and join a team that brings out the best in each other, then keep readingPerksSeasonal Staff Accommodation options (shared)Employee discounts on accommodations, dining, and marina at our sister properties (Hotel Eldorado, Manteo, Eldorado Marina, Four Points Kelowna Airport, Hampton Inn & Suites Kelowna Airport, Home2 Suites)An excellent work environment, with a focus on staff recognition and teambuildingRoom for growth and developmentPosition Summary: The Chef de Partie is a team leader responsible for the execution of various areas of line preparation.ResponsibilitiesReview the daily production sheets and line checklists with colleagues, even without the Chef de Cuisine presentEnsure that station opening and closing procedures are carried out to standard, with completed checklistsMaintain stations by ensuring preparation, task delegation, and production of high-quality food items in accordance with standards in a timely and efficient fashionEnsure that all colleagues’ stations are fresh, and properly rotated to par levelsAdhere to recipes and menu specifications to maintain consistency and ensure all standards are metHave full knowledge of all recipes and menu items, including sides and menu pricingTaste all products (soups, sauces, glazes, stocks, and ‘prep items’ used for the finishing of menu items)Prepare lists of food products required for stations and production for food ordersKeep overproduction and food waste to a minimum and ensure proper food rotation by pulling product from the freezer, labeling, and storing food to reduce food cost expenseKeep workstations clean and organized, sweeping and mopping floors including fridges / freezers, keeping countertops and stovetops clean, and organizing dry storageAlways lead by example with proper food handling, execution, and overall performance and attitudeParticipate in daily stand-upsLead culinary team as a day / night expeditor, and be educated on the proper procedure for disciplinary actionEnsure that all food products are handled, stored, prepared, and served safely in accordance with Eldorado Resort and government food safety guidelinesWork with banquet cooks to ensure all aspects of food standards are metProperly and safely operate kitchen equipment, report any required maintenance or repairs to the Chef de Cuisine immediatelyReport all deficiencies in kitchen equipment functionality and quality of food products to the Chef de Cuisine in a timely fashionEnsure temperature control charts are filled outActively participate in the orientation and training of culinary skills to junior staff and apprenticesEnsure that there is no interruption to guest serviceLiaise with the Front of House Manager as neededAssist in the creation of fresh sheets, and new menu itemsOther duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum 3-5 years00 experience in a professional kitchenExperience in a fast-paced, fine dining environmentPassion for the culinary artsExcellent interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)A positive and respectful attitudeQuick learner and ability to retain knowledge and skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detailValid FOODSAFE Certificate requiredRed Seal certification preferredWHMIS certification preferredMust be able to stand up to eight hours, and move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 40 pounds without assistanceAvailable to work a flexible schedule, a minimum of three days per week (including evenings, weekends, and holidays) based on business volumes and operational demandsDon00t miss this exciting opportunity to join our Eldorado Resort family #J-18808-Ljbffr
