This role requires independent work to prescribed timelines, as well as providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on CNC and manual equipment with attention to safety, quality, cost, and timing Troubleshoot and repair hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, bearings, seals, and drive systems Operate cranes, fork trucks, and high-reach equipment safely Manufacture, modify, or repair components using manual saws, lathes, milling/drilling machines, and welding (oxy/acetylene, TIG, MIG) Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and vendor drawings to complete maintenance tasks Support Continuous Improvement and World Class Manufacturing (WCM) initiatives Mentor junior team members on maintenance best practices and safe work procedures Participate in accident/incident investigations and maintain work area to 5S standards Available for overtime, call-ins, and occasional travel for training or benchmarking REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Certificate of Qualification as Industrial Millwright #433A Minimum Grade 12 diploma (college diploma or university degree in a technical field is an asset) Licensed to operate high-reach equipment Prior mechanical work experience in the automotive industry or CNC machine shop Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, plant systems, bearings, seals, lubricants, and industrial electronics Ability to weld (oxy/acetylene, TIG, MIG) and operate manual machining equipment Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and TEAMS Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team CONTACT AND RESUME SUBMISSION If you feel you are an excellent candidate and have the required skills and experience indicated above, please send your attached resume and any important details to HCR Permanent Search, care of the Recruitment Consultant listed below.
