Position Details Position: Full‑Time ED Patrol 2 Site: Credit Valley Hospital | 2200 Eglinton Ave West, Mississauga Hours: Monday to Friday (10:00 – 18:00) Pay rate: $19.63/hr Posting date: November 5, 2025 Internal closing date: November 12, 2025 External closing date: November 19, 2025 Key Responsibilities Conduct regular rounds of hospital premises, including parking areas, hallways, patient rooms, entrances, and exits, to ensure the safety and security of the site. Operate security cameras and alarm systems, ensuring any suspicious activity is reported immediately to the appropriate authorities. Monitor and control entry points to the hospital, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed access to restricted areas. Act quickly in emergency situations, such as medical emergencies, fire alarms, or security threats, and assist hospital staff during crises and evacuations. Greet and assist visitors, patients, and hospital staff; provide directions and ensure guests adhere to hospital policies and procedures. De‑escalate tense situations, resolve conflicts, and ensure all interactions are handled calmly and professionally. Document daily activities, incidents, or accidents accurately, and complete reports on incidents, breaches, and security concerns. Collaborate closely with hospital staff and local law enforcement to provide coordinated security effort and ensure the safety of all parties involved. Ensure hospital policies, including visitor and patient protocols, are followed; address any violations in a manner that upholds hospital safety standards. Prerequisites Valid Security License for the province of Ontario Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C (from a WSIB‑approved vendor) Covid vaccine two doses Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella and two‑step TB skin test English (oral and written) fluency is a must Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred Diploma in Justice studies/police foundations is considered an asset Vulnerable Sector Check – to be completed upon hire Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB); applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB certification program prior to onboarding Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB certification is not paid as a pre‑requisite; Paladin will cover all training costs with a 6‑month commitment to the position/availability Legally authorized to work in Canada Additional Information & Benefits Paladin Security has a diverse workforce.
