Inspired by the scientific councils which Ernest Solvay initiated, we bring great minds together to push the limits of science and innovation for the benefit of our customers, with a diverse, global team of more than 13,000 associates.ResponsibilitiesAccountability for site HSE, Quality, Productivity, and Operational Manufacturing Excellence objectivesEnsure all aspects/standards of the Responsible Care Safety Program are metLead, develop and be accountable for site day-to-day (i.e., operational) maintenance functionsResponsible for maintaining all site equipment, support systems and facilitiesEnsure adequate spares, MRO improvements and critical spare stocking in coordination with the Maintenance Reliability functionLead development and deployment of programs and methodologies to improve HSE, equipment reliability and reduce overall costsEnsure the site meets its critical objectives by leading assigned elements of the HSE, Quality and Operation Improvement plansChampion advancement initiatives in the areas of HSE, Zero Defect, and Manufacturing Excellence through the implementation and utilization of a continuous improvement cultureYou will bringBachelor of Engineering requiredStrong leadership competencies with an ability to implement sustainable maintenance and reliability systemsMust be able to interact positively and communicate effectively with all levels of the organizationMust have a high degree of initiative, influence, and problem-solving capabilityRequires regular, dependable attendanceExperience in a chemical plant environment is preferredExperience working in a unionized environment is preferred10 or more years of related maintenance, technical / engineering and leadership experienceUnionized workforce management experienceCore competenciesPerformance & ResultsTalent EnhancementEngage & InspireCollaborationWorking conditionsPlant and office environmentRequired to be in production areas as neededFrequent interruptions and urgent deadlinesBenefitsCompetitive salary and benefits package16 weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulationsTraining platform for all employeesFree well-being sessions (physical and psychological)Additional informationReports to the site Director and is a member of the site PLTAbout UsSyensqo is a science company developing groundbreaking solutions that enhance the way we live, work, travel and play.
