OverviewThe Clinical Resource Leader (CRL), Renal is a registered nurse with advanced expertise in hemodialysis care, focused on leading the operational and practice excellence of the renal nursing team. The CRL supports staff through education, practice development, and quality initiatives, ensuring the delivery of safe, evidence-informed, and person-centered care.The CRL works in partnership with the Renal Program leadership to maintain patient and staff safety practices, engage staff in evidence-informed best practices, and promote a culture of continuous quality improvement. The CRL identifies learning and development needs for direct care providers (RN & RPN), supports competency development, and collaborates with leadership to enhance staff performance. Proficiency in providing feedback and addressing nursing practice concerns is essential. The CRL must be flexible and adaptable to the organization’s changing needs at the program, corporate, and provincial levels.The CRL collaborates with nephrologists, interprofessional team members (e.g., pharmacy, social work, dietitian), and organizational leaders on practice initiatives, change projects, and quality improvement activities. The CRL also contributes to hospital-wide education initiatives, policy development, orientation, and accreditation.EducationCurrent registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and current BCLS certification.Master’s degree required – Master’s in Nursing or Education preferred.Certification in Nephrology Nursing required (Certified in Nephrology (Canada) [CNeph(C)] certification from the Canadian Nurses Association [CNA] is strongly preferred).Adult Education Certificate preferred.QualificationsMinimum 5 years’ experience in a regional or satellite renal program, with clinical and leadership experience.Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in hemodialysis.Experience in a nursing leadership or advanced practice role is strongly preferred.Knowledge of adult education theory and experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating educational programs.Expertise in renal nursing standards and relevant guidelines.Program management skills required.Excellent communication, coaching, facilitation, and presentation skills.Ability to develop educational materials, policies, and procedures.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to adapt and prioritize.Experience with innovative educational modalities (e.g., simulation, eLearning) is an asset.Ability to build collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders.Proven success in change management and quality improvement initiatives.Working knowledge of clinical/administrative software, including MS Office.Membership and active involvement in relevant professional organizations.Good work and attendance record.All employees of Michael Garron Hospital (MGH), a division of Toronto East Health Network (TEHN), are expected to work within the practices mandated by the Occupational Health and Safety Act of Ontario and contribute to a culture of safety and psychological health. #J-18808-Ljbffr
