Phasor Engineering is a dynamic North America based company specializing in engineering, design, panel fabrication, and testing/commissioning of high voltage electrical facilities. Our focus is to incorporate the latest technological advances to provide the most cost-effective and efficient solutions to power system engineering.We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Protection & Control Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our team on a full-time basis. This role will be based out of our Burnaby BC office.If you are an excellent communicator and skilled problem-solver with strong attention to detail, we offer a dynamic work environment where you will be continuously challenged in all aspects of the testing and commissioning process.ResponsibilitiesAssist senior engineers in the development of protection and control designs from conceptual through implementation stages.Prepare and review single-line diagrams, control schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and bill of materialsPerform engineering calculations related to protection coordination and system studiesProgram Protection & Control devicesParticipate in site visits and commissioning activities to learn practical application of designsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projectsRequirementsHolds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalentRegistered or is eligible for registration as an EIT with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC)Relevant experience through co-op, academic projects, or professional work in substation utility design, protection and control design, or related power systems is an assetFamiliarity with protection principles, relay coordination, and related engineering software is an asset.Strong communication skills, both verbal and writtenExperience using AutoCAD software is an assetMotivated, organized, with a collaborative and adaptable approach to workBasic knowledge of the office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)Able to work independently while contributing effectively within a teamBenefitsDental careDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programExtended health careLife insuranceOn-site gymOn-site parkingPaid time offRRSP matchVision careWellness programPhasor Engineering Inc. offers a competitive compensation and benefits package and excellent opportunities for growth and advancement.
