Medical Lab Technologist (BCGEU), UrinalysisLifeLabs is seeking a Medical Lab Technologist to join our Urinalysis team.Job SummaryWe are Canada’s leading provider of laboratory diagnostic information and digital health connectivity systems. Our team of over 6,000 professionals works together to provide high-quality testing and results that Canadians can trust.As a Medical Lab Technologist, you will provide accurate and timely interpretive and diagnostic specimen testing and reporting. You will contribute to patient well-being and the achievement of better health outcomes.ResponsibilitiesConduct a wide range of diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing.Prepare and process samples, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation.Perform, interpret, and release results while ensuring patient information confidentiality.Identify incidents and non-conformities and participate in corrective action plans.Assist with the evaluation and implementation of new technology.Participate in problem-solving and workflow improvements.Maintain a clean and organized work environment and adhere to laboratory safety protocols.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.RequirementsCollege diploma or University degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent education and/or experience.CSMLS registered and in good standing.Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to distinguish multiple colors.Strong computer skills in MS Office products and laboratory analyzers.Problem-solving skills and ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.What We OfferCompetitive compensation package and comprehensive total rewards program.Employee Group Benefits, including Extended Health Care, Dental Care, and Life Insurance.Retirement Savings Plan and Vacation and Wellness Days.Employee Wellness and Giving Programs, including mental, physical, and financial wellness resources.Professional development and membership reimbursement opportunities.LifeLabs is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
