OverviewAcuren is seeking a professional, energetic NDT UT Technician Level 2 to support operations on site located in Kitimat, BC. LNG Canada is nearing completion of the first LNG export facility in Canada and Acuren has been awarded the maintenance contract for this site.Acuren will provide maintenance services utilizing rope access technology; all NDT Technicians will be required to obtain IRATA Training and Certification.Location and SchedulePosition is based locally in Kitimat BC (relocation is required)Immediate start datePosition is 40 hours/week with possible overtimeRate up to $52.81 to $57.36/hr depending on certificationsUp to 3 months temporary housing available to assist with relocation if requiredResponsibilitiesCarry out UT inspections on welds, castings, forgings, or other materials in accordance with approved procedures, codes, and standards.Analyze ultrasonic signals to distinguish between relevant and non-relevant indications, determine defect type, size, and location, and assess whether the component meets acceptance criteria.Record inspection results accurately, including calibration data, test parameters, and evaluation findings, ensuring traceability and compliance with quality requirements.Select appropriate probes, set up instruments, perform system calibrations, and verify equipment performance prior to and during inspections.Apply established UT techniques and, when authorized, adapt or develop inspection procedures to meet specific project requirements while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and client specifications.Provide guidance, training, and oversight to Level 1 technicians, ensuring safe and correct execution of UT tasks under supervision.Follow standards and procedures and monitor to ensure accuracy of results and meets quality and safety objectives and project time-lines.Maintain positive working relationships with clients.RequirementsCGSB UT Level 2 CertificationAdditional certifications are an assetIRATA training or willingness to obtain is an assetStrong work ethicsAbility to maintain positive working relations with clientsExceptional safety and quality awarenessAbility to solve problems and manage time effectivelySelf-motivated and capable of working at a high technical and performance levelValid driver's licenseBenefitsThe strength of Acuren lies in its outstanding people.
