This position is available in our DillonVancouveroffice.ResponsibilitiesWhat your day will look likeProject Support & Waste Management PlanningAssist in solid waste projects related to waste management policy, planning and approvals, waste diversion programs and waste management facilities across Canada.Completion and supervision of environmental field activities including waste composition studies, monitoring, maintenance, evaluation and troubleshooting.Completion of data analysis and reporting.Assist in developing and participating in public consultation programs and preparing public-facing content.Assist project managers, engineers, environmental scientists and others on a variety of multidisciplinary design teams (including project engineers, planners, biologists, technologists, etc.).Coordinate and manage project tasks, budgets and schedules.Contribute to report writing and preparation of spreadsheets and figures.Contribute to preparation of proposalsLearning & DevelopmentCommit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development.Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees.QualificationsWhat you will need to succeedA degree or a diploma in environmental, waste management or relevant disciplines.4 to 7 years of experience in solid waste management, preferably within a professional consulting environment.ExperienceStrong verbal and written communications skills.Keen attention to detail.Demonstrated abilities in multidisciplinary teamwork.Aptitude to learn.Familiar with relevant provincial and federal environmental legislation, environmental policies, codes and standards with respect to solid waste management and waste diversion.Ability to apply criteria to analytical data.Compensation$79,000 - $88,000Dillon includes the salary range that we in good faith believe may offer for this position, and is dependent on the successful applicant’s education, experience, and skills, in addition to internal equity and geographic region.
