With over 40 years of experience, SHC is a leading provider of home health care including palliative care.Job DescriptionDeliver prescribed physiotherapy and occupational therapy interventions under the direction of a supervising therapistAssist clients with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and activities of daily living (ADL) retrainingUtilize assistive devices and adaptive equipment to support client independence and safetyMonitor and document clients\' progress and report changes to the supervising PT/OTProvide education to clients and caregivers on exercises, equipment usage, and strategies for maintaining independenceComplete documentation as requiredRegularly assess the patient\'s surroundings to ensure a safe home environmentQualificationsCertificate or Diploma in the Occupational Therapist Assistant or Physiotherapy Assistant Program from a recognized community college program or school registered with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities or equivalent in training and experienceCurrent police check for work with the vulnerable sectorAdditional languages as assetValid G2/G driver’s license, third party insurance coverage must be maintained at $1,000,000.00 and access to a reliable vehicleAdditional InformationSpectrum Health Care is thrilled to be named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies.
