Interior Health (IH) is seeking a dynamic Energy Management Co-op Student to join our team. This position is based at the Kelowna Warehouse (Reids) in Kelowna, B.C., with the opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement within the Kelowna area. This is an eight-month term position, from approximately January 2026 to August 2026. "Healthcare is an energy intensive sector. The Co-op Student will assist the Energy Management team with energy management initiatives. A key objective of this co-op placement is to develop sustainable procurement guidance and best practices for key energy consuming equipment. Typical Duties And Responsibilities Research and evaluate energy efficiency, greenhouse gas emissions and other sustainability parameters for a wide range of energy consuming equipment used in healthcare to compile sustainable procurement guidelines and environmentally preferable models or product features. Support energy management initiatives, which could include: Supporting the development of an energy management risk analysis Assisting with the development of a preventative maintenance program for key energy consuming systems Developing communications materials to support with engagementSupporting the development of an energy monitoring and performance program for Plant Services (operations and maintenance) Perform other related duties as assigned.
