As a member of the Engineering team reporting to the Electrical Integrators Team Lead for R&D SSV, your main responsibility will be to lead the design, development, and validation of electrical and mechatronic systems for a recreational vehicle product line. YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO: Develop the functional architecture and control and diagnostic functions for vehicle control modules; Prepare technical requirement documents for the development of electrical parts and mechatronic systems with suppliers; Perform calculations, analyses, and validations of various parts and/or assemblies of one or more systems; Validate and approve workshop drawings, electrical schematics, and engineering releases for electrical systems; Supervise the assembly, diagnostics, and validation of prototype vehicles in the workshop; Develop and execute test plans necessary to validate technical solutions while considering established norms and standards; Upload software to various control modules and calibrate the mechatronic functions of vehicles, both in the workshop and on the water; Guide the work of technicians/builders to meet development objectives; Collaborate with suppliers on the development of electrical and electronic components as well as determining timelines and standards to be met; YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent; Engineering certification or in the process of obtaining it; Good understanding and ability to integrate electrical, electronic, software, and mechanical principles; Initiative, autonomy, and a strong sense of responsibility; Adequate proficiency in English (written and spoken) to support the manufacturing plant and suppliers located outside Quebec; Ability to analyze and solve complex problems and capacity to innovate; Experience with Catia/SmarTeam, CRETA, and INCA software (an asset); Manual dexterity and motor skills to perform electrical repairs and physical tests on water; Availability for occasional travel to our various manufacturing sites.
