This focus allows us to be involved in a diverse range of projects from preliminary engineering through to the commissioning and startup.We are currently seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer EIT to join our team on a full-time basis in our Calgary office. We offer a dynamic work environment with an extremely experienced technical team, where you will be continuously challenged in all aspects of the engineering and design process.ResponsibilitiesWork within a project team of engineers and designers in our Civil GroupDetailed technical knowledge of structural engineering design including steel and concrete structures, shallow and deep foundationsKnowledge of Civil works including site preparation, earthworks and retaining wallsAdequate knowledge of applicable Canadian codes and standardsProficient on software applicable to structural engineering design such as STAAD-ProExperience with AutoCADStrong understanding of safety in design principlesAbility to lead a small to medium size design project from start to completion with minimal oversightAbility to mentor / provide technical guidance to less experienced engineersResults-oriented and self-driven individual with experience juggling multiple projects and meeting project deadlinesStrong and confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
