Job DescriptionArchitecture49 is seeking an Experienced Architectural Technologistto join our CENTRUS team.The Centre Block Rehabilitation Project is a complex long-term heritage renovation, rehabilitation, and rejuvenation project of national interest within the Parliamentary Precinct. The project is serviced by CENTRUS, a dedicated, multi-disciplinary team with members from A49 and other joint venture organizations. Working from Canada’s national capital, the team is focused on the extensive renovation, repair, upgrade, and replacement of various crucial components of the building. Within our organizational culture,we are prepared to invest and partner in your development through a comprehensive evaluation, training, and mentorship programthat will empower you to utilize your expertise on projects that contribute to the growth and success of our practice, and your career.ResponsibilitiesProducing technical design and contract documents in collaboration with project teams.Working with senior team members to validate that designs and deliverables conform to technical guidelines, code requirements and regulations.Provide technical design solutions for construction including interior and exterior assemblies.Coordinating internal production teams.Coordinating with project sub-consultants.Providing technical mentoring and leadership to less experienced technical staff.Assisting a dedicated site team and preparing documentation for contract administration.QualificationsDegree or diploma in architectural or building technology from a technical college5+ years’ working as a technologist or technician for an architectural consulting firmExperience leading BIM projectsExperience with BIM principles & workflows, REVIT software, Microsoft 365 environment and Bluebeam is requiredProfessional registration in a provincial association dedicated to technologists will be considered an assetAbility to obtain Reliability/Secret level security clearanceBilingualism (English & French) is considered an assetAbout UsWhy Choose Us?Architecture49 is a growing firm with promising career opportunities for talented people.
