Occupational Health Nurse Lake Shore Gold (a subsidiary of Pan American Silver) is located in Timmins, Ontario. The Bell Creek Complex consists of an underground mine and processing facility, mining ore via narrow vein longhole stoping methods and transporting it through a 1080m deep shaft capable of 4800 tpd. We are looking to hire an Occupational Health Nurse to join our Timmins Operations team on a contract basis for 12‑18 months. The schedule is Monday‑Friday, 8 hrs/day or 4 on, 3 off, 10 hrs/day. About the Opportunity The role is to promote and support employee health, safety, and wellness through medical care, case management, and health initiatives that foster a safe and healthy workplace. Reporting to the Health and Safety Superintendent, the Occupational Health Nurse will have the following responsibilities: Provide First Aid/Primary Aid to employees Assist with WSIB post‑occupational injury assessment and case management Advise/assist with modified work activities as needed Act as a resource for Human Resources for non‑occupational RTW consultations as required Support the management of employee health surveillance programs (lead, DPM, silica, etc.) Support Diversity and Inclusion programming Support the development of employee health and wellness programming including mental health and healthy lifestyles initiatives Support the development and review of ergonomics and job task/physical demands analysis Develop health promotion initiatives (training/information sessions, bulletin boards) Keep up to date with legal and professional changes associated with public health and occupational health and safety Support the distribution of communications and education to all employees on trends/issues related to workplace health/safety Maintain employee health records in a manner that ensures confidentiality and employee privacy Perform any other duties as may be required Qualifications The following will be critical to successfully performing this role: Undergraduate degree in Nursing, or equivalent combination of education and experience 2‑5 years of Nursing experience in acute care, occupational health, community health or public health Access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license WSIB/Injury/Return to Work Case management experience is considered an asset Excellent written and verbal communication skills Positive attitude and willingness to learn experientially Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada Benefits In return for your hard work and dedication you can expect to receive a competitive salary and the following benefits after 3 months: Company‑paid extended medical, dental, and vision benefits Basic life/accidental life insurance Employee Assistance Program Telemedicine Virtual Primary Care via Dialogue How to Apply Please forward your resume and contact information to: Lake Shore Gold - Human ResourcesP.O.
