Job PurposeThe Respiratory Therapist 2 is responsible for providing respiratory services through the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of lung disorders.QualificationsCompletion of an accredited training course for Respiratory Therapists. Licensed, or be eligible to be licensed, with the New Brunswick Association of Respiratory Therapists.Must have mandatory certifications in ACLS and NRP.Ability to attend work on a regular basis.Ability to perform the duties of the position.Good work record.Key ResponsibilitiesTesting and measuring pulmonary functionAssessing, monitoring and administering respiratory therapiesAssisting and supporting airway management and resuscitationMaintaining clinical records and documentationParticipating in interdisciplinary care planningPreparing and presenting information and educationInspecting, maintaining, preparing and troubleshooting equipmentProviding mentoring and support for students and other health care professionalsCompetencies identified by Horizon Health NetworkAttention to DetailAnalytical ThinkingInterpersonal RelationsMentoringPatient/Client FocusPlanning and Prioritizing WorkResults OrientationTeamwork and CollaborationDiversity StatementHorizon is committed to enhancing our diverse and inclusive environment for our employees and patients.
