Workers Compensation Claims Examiner | Dedicated Account | 3 Days Remote (Ontario, CA) Apply to join Sedgwick’s global team as a Workers Compensation Claims Examiner, working remotely from Ontario, Canada. Your focus will be to analyze and adjudicate workers’ compensation claims for our valued clients, ensuring accurate benefit determinations and adherence to best practices. Primary Purpose of the Role To determine benefits due on workers’ compensation claims, while maintaining ongoing adjudication within service expectations, industry best practices, and specific client service requirements. Essential Responsibilities Analyze and process claims using well‑developed action plans to achieve timely resolutions, gathering and investigating necessary information. Negotiate settlements of claims within designated authority. Communicate claim activity with claimants and clients, ensuring transparency and professionalism. Report claims to the excess carrier and respond to requests in a timely manner. Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date documentation of all claim activities. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of claims management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Professional certification related to workers’ compensation or claims preferred. Knowledge of California workers’ compensation claims and SIP Certification highly preferred.
