Building Maintenance Engineer

OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Building Maintenance Engineer to maintain the overall condition of our facilities.A Building Engineer is a hands-on professional with a practical mindset and strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate works independently and responsibly, with a minimum of three years of maintenance experience and a solid understanding of mechanical systems, general plumbing, and electrical knowledge.ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain building systems and equipmentService pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devicesAssist with installation and modification of building equipment and systemsReplace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, and paintEvaluate maintenance operations and make recommendations for upgrades or cost-saving measuresSafely operate tools and equipment used in facility maintenanceRespond promptly to emergency situations and service requestsInspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe conditions and preventive maintenance needsMaintain and operate fire and life safety systems, including fire alarms and related equipmentUse technology effectively, including smartphones, tablets, computers, web-based applications, and building automation systemsCore CompetenciesTechnical proficiencyFlexibilityMulti-tasking abilitySense of urgencyExperience and QualificationsMinimum of 3–5 years of experience in building maintenanceComfortable using technology such as smartphones and tablets for work ordersKnowledge of general maintenance methods and processesWorking knowledge of tools, appliances, and common devicesStrong manual dexterity and problem-solving skillsGood physical condition and ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work outdoors, and stand for long periodsWillingness to work overtime and participate in on-call rotations as neededBenefits and CultureWe offer competitive salary and benefits in a team-oriented environment.
