Join to apply for the Engineer and Project Leader, Automation (Relocation to Sept-Îles) role at BBA Consultants.ResponsibilitiesHelp prepare plans and specifications as well as detailed engineering deliverables (P&IDs, localization drawings, I/O, loop and motor control schemes, cable and instrument lists, installation details)Draft reports, specifications, including construction and purchasing specifications, and calls for tendersPrepare datasheets and select control instruments (flow, pressure, level) and valvesProvide technical assistance during construction work (electrical/instrumentation)Perform inspections or technical surveysHelp program PLCs, DCSs and operator interfacesInteract with clients and provide technical support to the team in charge of business developmentEstablish and maintain client contactsEstablish client needs and identify new needs throughout the projectParticipate in commercial and technical proposal preparationQualificationsUndergraduate degree in automated manufacturing or electrical engineeringAt least four years of relevant experience as an automation/instrumentation engineer or an equivalent combination of training and experienceExperience designing automated and control systemsKnowledge of the Electrical CodeExpertise in preoperational verifications and equipment start-upExperience in control system programming (SCADA, PLC, DCS)Available for short- and long-term assignments at client offices or sitesProficiency in project management, technical writing and cost estimationMember of a Canadian professional engineering associationAdvanced level of English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationallyAdvanced level of French to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients in QuébecAsset: Experience with DCS (Foxboro, ABB, Emerson) and networkingBenefitsAnnual base salaryAnnual premium program for regular employeesAccess to a time bankOnsite mobility premiumCellphone ProgramGroup insurance plan starting day one including short-term and long-term disability insurance for regular employeesRetirement saving plan for regular employeesVacation and sick leavePremium offered through the Employee Referral programAbout BBAFor over 40 years, we’ve been pushing the boundaries of engineering to serve our clients in the Energy and Natural Resources sector.
