We focus on keeping our network compliant with standards that matter most—from health and safety and sustainability to ethical behaviour—by delivering best-in-class solutions.Department: Technology & ProductLocation: Remote, CanadaWhat you’ll doTechnical Development and Implementation: Design, develop, test, and deploy Salesforce solutions, including Apex classes, Lightning Components, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).Configure Salesforce using declarative tools such as Flows, Validation Rules, and Page Layouts to meet business requirements.Develop and maintain integrations with external systems using APIs and integration tools.Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in development and production environments.Follow Salesforce best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines to ensure high-quality solutions.Support adoption of new Salesforce features and releases by evaluating and implementing relevant enhancements.Participate in support activities, including diagnosing and resolving user-reported issues.Solution Design and Delivery: Translate business requirements into well-structured technical designs; contribute to effort estimation and project planning; collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA, and other developers to deliver solutions that align with business objectives; contribute to testing activities including system testing and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT).Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions; document technical designs, solutions, and processes for maintainability; share insights to improve team workflows and solution quality.What you’ll need to be successful5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, including Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).Proven ability to design and implement Salesforce integrations using REST and SOAP APIs, with experience in middleware platforms such as MuleSoft.Experience building and customizing solutions on Experience Cloud, including development of custom components, UI styling, and role-based access controls.Strong knowledge of Salesforce configuration and customization, including objects, flows, validation rules, and automation tools.Deep understanding of Salesforce security models, governor limits, and performance optimization best practices.Proficient with version control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket) and project management tools like JIRA and Confluence.Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and the full Salesforce DevOps lifecycle, including CI/CD processes and tooling.Proficient in JavaScript and capable of building responsive, user-friendly custom UIs on the Lightning platform.Experience with data migration and integration tools, including Data Loader, ETL platforms, and large-volume data strategies.Salesforce Platform Developer I certification required; Platform Developer II or Salesforce Architect certifications are a strong plus.Experience working with Account Engagement (Pardot) and/or Marketing Cloud, particularly in automation and customer engagement.Understanding of object-oriented design principles and enterprise architecture standards.Comfortable working in environments with high security, compliance, or regulatory requirements.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive, solution-oriented approach to cross-functional projects.Benefits and accommodationsWhat you’ll get in return: We support our team to do their best work, providing many ways to help you succeed.Integrated mental health & wellbeing supportVacationWellness Days & Annual Giving Day – an extra to give back to yourself or your communityComprehensive medical and dental coverageEnd of the year company-wide shutdown for restLinkedIn Learning License for upskilling & developmentEqual opportunity statement: Alcumus is an equal-opportunity employer.
