Ideal Candidate Allnorth’s Calgary team is looking for a Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible for conceptual design, front‑end, and detailed engineering of small to medium sized projects for oil and gas process plants and other industrial facilities. Responsibilities Conceive and execute engineering designs in operating facility environments. Lead engineering efforts, manage budget and schedule for small to medium size process projects. Develop and foster strong relationships with clients to ensure expectations are understood and delivered upon. Mentor and lead a small team of junior engineers. Develop proposals for new projects, including engineering scope, schedule, and cost. Perform HAZOP and operability studies. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Registered as a P.Eng in Alberta; registration or eligibility in a U.S. state highly desired. 5+ years mechanical and piping experience. Experience with ASME B31.3 and B31.1, API 650, ASME Section VIII Div 1, NFPA codes, CSA Z662 and CSA B149. Experience with design registration of power piping systems and pressure vessel design modifications with the safety authority. Proficiency with Piping design software (PipeFlo, AutoPipe, Caesar, Compress, Tank, AFT Arrow, AFT Impulse) and 3D model packages. Excellent communication skills, both written and interpersonal. Preferred Qualifications Experience with ASME B31.3 and B31.1, API 650, ASME Section VIII Div 1, NFPA codes, CSA Z662 and CSA B149.
