Temporary Full Day Educator (ending December 27, 2025) We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Temporary Full Day Educator to join our team Location: Gatestone; 127 Gatestone Drive, Stoney Creek ON L8J 3Z5 Hours: 37.5 hours per week Schedule: Monday to Friday; rotating day shifts (start and end times subject to change) Pay Rate: $27.72 per hour (includes wage grants) Why Work with Us? Access to our Employee Assistance Program Priority childcare placement for employees' children A positive, collaborative, and fun work environment with top-tier professionals We’re Looking For Experience: At least 1 year of experience working directly with children OR experience in a childcare setting with school-aged children is preferred Proven ability to plan and implement programs for toddlers and preschoolers Education Diploma in Early Childhood Education Certifications Member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators Standard First Aid with CPR level C certification Clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check Proof of up-to-date immunizations for TB, Tetanus, and MMR Skills & Competencies Familiarity with the Ministry of Education's How Does Learning Happen? framework is an asset Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Dedication to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and diverse environment Excellent problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced setting Key Responsibilities Designing and implementing developmentally appropriate activities based on children’s interests to promote their overall development Maintaining supervision and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for children up to 12 years of age Organizing indoor and outdoor play spaces, materials, and equipment to create a welcoming environment Conducting daily health checks on children and documenting any concerns as required by the Ministry of Education Collaborating with colleagues and maintaining professional relationships with Hamilton Wentworth District School Board staff Commitment to Accessibility We are committed to providing accommodations in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
