It also offers a competitive salary and benefits as well as a stimulating working environment that fosters professional growth.As our Audit and Assurance Group continues to expand, we are currently seeking a Manager to join our Professional Standards Department which ensures the quality of the assurance services provided to our clientele. This department consists of professional accountants with strong technical skills having several years of practical experience in the assurance and accounting field.ResponsibilitiesResearch accounting and/or assurance related queries from the firm’s professionalsStay up to date on all activities of both the accounting and auditing standard-setting bodies (ie. IAASB, AASB, CPA Canada etc.) and evaluate the impacts of any change to the firm's clientele’sfinancial information as well as the firm’s assurance practiceStay up to date on all ethics and independence rules for professional accountantsParticipate in the development and presentation of training materials for all professional accountants at the firm in order for them to fulfill their mandatory continuing education requirements;Participate in the development and continuously improve upon the firm’s audit strategy and ensure its’ appropriate implementation;Perform the quality control review of financial statements/financial information for the assurance department;Provide support in the resolution of complex accounting problems;QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as an auditor in professional practiceGreat facility for written and verbal communications in French and EnglishStrong technical knowledge of ASPE and IFRS and assurance standardsExcellent analytical skills;Attentiveness to detailTeam playerUnderstands importance of providing high quality services to internal and external clients;We thank all candidates for their application and interest in our Firm.
