Radiological Technologist (P2A) Interventional/GP Join as a Radiological Technologist with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) to support our Computed Tomography/Interventional team at Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver, BC. The salary range for this position is CAD $38.08/hr – CAD $47.55/hr. Responsibilities Perform interventional/angiography and radiographic procedures in accordance with departmental policy and procedure, observing safe radiation protection practices. Perform duties such as: Receive and complete requisitions. Enter relevant data into the radiology information system. Prepare examination trays and patients, following aseptic technique for specific procedures. Assist the Radiologist in procedures and operate computerized imaging equipment, including processing and archiving of acquired data. Monitor patient during procedures and monitor equipment performance. Education & Experience Certification with CAMRT. A minimum of two (2) years’ recent, related experience in interventional radiography and general radiology procedures, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Demonstrated knowledge of theory and practice for general radiology, angiography and interventional procedures. Knowledge of the standards of practice and guidelines for Medical Imaging practitioners established by the CAMRT and/or other relevant national professional associations. Knowledge of aseptic techniques and evidence‑based practice related to the designated modality. Knowledge of Interventional Radiology theory and practice. Proficiency with safe work procedures for medical imaging equipment. Skill in IR techniques and use of applicable equipment. Knowledge of PACS/radiology information systems, including digital imaging, image archiving and retrieval. Knowledge of research process and methodology. Strong communication skills (oral and written) to interact with clients, families, physicians, and healthcare staff. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize workload, and plan work effectively. Skill in Intravenous Therapy and CPR techniques. Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures and standards of care. Ability to teach, demonstrate, facilitate, coach and mentor staff. Conflict resolution skills and the ability to work with a multidisciplinary team. Ability to operate related equipment and applicable software applications.
