At Central Alberta Co-op, we're looking for a full-time Agro Advisor (II) to join our dynamic team at our Innisfail Agro Centre. If you’re organized, customer-focused, and eager to contribute, this could be the perfect role for you Position: Agro Advisor (II) Full-time: 40 hours per week. Eligible for benefits after 3 months. If you are relocating from another province, please ensure you have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider. Availability: Weekdays Responsibilities Provide superior service and technical advice to Central Alberta Co-op guests Provide field scouting as requested and relay the findings to the guests and to the other agronomy team Work with Agronomy team, Site supervisor and Agro Manager as required Be responsible for pricing, providing competitive intel, sales and inventory management of crop protection products Develop and maintain effective business relationships with current and potential customer base Actively pursue and encourage cross marketing of products and services with growers Soil sampling and analysis of their results, consulting a more senior agronomist if required Assist in warehouse operations including receiving, shipping and delivery of products Work with the location team to ensure timely delivery of products and services Attending supplier events to stay up to date on current trends and products Be familiar with and follow all Central Alberta Co-op policies and procedures, AWSA regulations Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager Qualifications Undergraduate degree in Agriculture or a related field 1–3 years of relevant experience in the agriculture or crop input industry Excellent communication and relationship-building skills WHMIS and TDG certification (or willingness to complete) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting is required Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, and weekends during peak seasons Strong team player with a proactive, goal-driven attitude and commitment to ongoing learning Total Rewards At Central Alberta Co-op, we value our team members and are committed to their well-being and success.
