About the Role This role is based in Mississauga, Ontario and reports to the Procurement and Contracts Manager. The Procurement Officer supports the Project Services Group or a specific project in procurement, purchasing, expediting, cost control, and transport and logistics. Key Responsibilities Perform all dealings with clients, suppliers, manufacturers and freight company personnel professionally, ethically and efficiently, to ensure the highest possible service levels. Communicate openly, professionally, ethically and efficiently at all times with all internal customers to achieve the highest customer service level. Adhere to project‑specific and company procedures, work practices, plans, systems and protocols required to work efficiently and maintain a consistent high standard of work. Be responsible and accountable for all expediting functions as directed by the Procurement & Contracts Manager and/or Project Manager. Be responsible and accountable for all logistics functions as directed by the Procurement & Contracts Manager and/or Project Manager. Ensure all assigned purchasing processes are followed strictly in accordance with documented and authorised company procedures. Be assigned to a project on a project‑specific basis in accordance with company policies and guidelines. Qualifications & Experience A minimum of 2 years’ experience in purchasing, expediting, transport and logistics disciplines in mining, minerals, engineering or construction industries. Demonstrable procurement, purchasing, expediting, cost control and transport and logistics knowledge. Excellent communication skills, written, electronic and verbal. High degree of professional ethics. Initiative, self‑motivation and the ability to work without supervision.
