Comfort Keepers is looking for a Health Care Aide to join our growing team. We are a leading in-home care provider for seniors and other adults that require a helping hand or companionship in their home. In this position, you will provide non-medical in-home support and home management services. Join a growing family dedicated to providing companionship, personal care, and other health care needs for seniors in their own homes. Both part and full-time positions are available. Our Personal Support Workers provide exceptional in-home and companion experiences and assist with services detailed in our customized personal care service plans. Location Must currently be living in Victoria, BC. Benefits Competitive Pay – direct deposit and holiday pay starting at $22 with reviews after 90 days Paid Training – foster growth and development through paid web-based and in-person training Friendly Environment – 24‑hour support available, a fun team‑centric atmosphere Companionship & Friendship – create lasting relationships with seniors and their loved ones Reimbursement – get repaid for client‑related transportation Flexibility – flexible start dates, ability to work near your home Benefits – after 3 months (must qualify) Group RRSP – after 6 months (must qualify) Job Requirements Genuinely concerned about helping people Access to a mobile phone (data‑enabled preferred) and internet HCA Certification or related experience Registry number – preferred Current First Aid and CPR Training Current Police Record check Assisting in the delivery of client care and home support services under the direction of the health care team Assist clients with care, observe, and report significant changes in the client’s presentation Collaborate with the health care team, clients, and their caregivers to maximize independence with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) Assist clients with Bathing, showering, dressing, mobility, feeding, toileting Assist with household activities including Meal prep, shopping for groceries, laundry, etc. Driver’s License and a reliable vehicle always an asset but not required Assist clients with Bathing, showering, dressing, mobility, feeding, toileting Assist with household activities including Meal prep, shopping for groceries, laundry, etc. Available to work weekends and some overnight shifts is a bonus Additional Information Our office serves seniors in Victoria and surrounding communities, Colwood, James Bay, Saanich, and Sidney. We are located at 207-1001 Cloverdale Ave, Victoria, BC V8X 4C9. This position may require travel to those areas – we do our best to match you with clients in your area.
