KMB Law is seeking an Accounting Clerk with 2–3 years of accounting experience. The successful candidate will be organized, detail‑oriented, analytically strong, and able to communicate effectively. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals and gain direct experience in a dynamic legal environment. Position Overview Reporting to the Director of Finance, the ideal candidate will support the accounting department with a variety of administrative tasks such as posting, batching, reconciling, and other duties. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast‑paced environment. It is an in‑office position located at our Mississauga office, with hours 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., though additional hours may be required to meet business and client needs. Responsibilities Process accounts payable, ensuring proper approvals and accurate coding; determine appropriate payment methods (cheque, EFT, wire, credit card) and maintain AP records. Set up and maintain vendor records and tax registration numbers. Reconcile and liaise with vendors to resolve outstanding invoices. Process and pay expense reports weekly; handle miscellaneous cheque requests daily. Perform monthly HST reconciliation and remittances. Respond to inquiries internally and externally in a timely, professional manner. Import client disbursements from third‑party vendors daily. Perform account and credit‑card reconciliations. Run daily bank deposits. Assist accounting team as needed. Other duties as required. Qualifications 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a law firm. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word). Excellent communication skills, able to interact professionally at all levels. Strong organizational skills meeting monthly deadlines. Detail‑oriented, able to work independently in a busy team environment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating with a team.
