Controls and Electrical Specialist Join Jones Healthcare Group – where innovation meets purpose. As a Controls and Electrical Specialist you will maintain electrical systems, troubleshoot plant operations, collaborate on projects, and ensure compliance with cGMP standards. Responsibilities Electrical Systems & Installation – layout, assemble, install, repair, maintain, and test electrical systems, including fixtures, HVAC, control panels, and wiring. Troubleshooting & Repair – diagnose and repair breakdowns across plant systems (PLCs, motors, transformers, BMS/BAS), perform bench repairs, and assist mechanics with equipment assembly. Testing & Preventative Maintenance – conduct testing and calibration on electrical instruments, perform preventive maintenance to support operations. Project & Validation Support – collaborate with engineering, mechanical, and facilities teams to execute projects, participate in validation activities, and ensure designs meet standards and timelines. Documentation & Knowledge Transfer – create, read, and maintain electrical schematics, PLC programs, and technical manuals, update work instructions, and support training initiatives. Safety & Compliance Leadership – promote safe work practices, identify unsafe conditions, comply with all health and safety legislation, SOPs, and cGMP requirements. Other Duties – undertake additional tasks or instructions as directed to support business and operational goals. Qualifications College or university degree in technical engineering; electrical license preferred. 5+ years of experience in cGMP or related industry, working with PLCs, motors, transformers, electrical panels, and servos. Strong ability to read and interpret technical schematics, manuals, and blueprints. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively. Proven problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills in a fast‑paced technical environment. Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous learning. Experience within a pharmaceutical or food environment, familiarity with cGMP, and regulated environment (FDA, Health Canada). Benefits A safe, respectful, diverse, and inclusive environment.
