We’re always searching the globe for innovative, collaborative minds to join our best-in-class Aecon communityAbout UsThe Quality Inspector is responsible for the performance of all quality functions and duties as related to the Fabrication activities at Aecon's Fabrication shop in Cambridge, ON. The position reports to the Quality Control Supervisor.What You'll Do HereParticipate in the execution of the fabrication travelersPerform quality inspection in accordance with the Aecon’s quality program, the related codes, standards, and customer specifications. Such inspections shall include but not be limited to:Dimensional inspectionVisual welding inspectionVisual weld examinationMaterial verificationReceiving InspectionReview of Material Test Reports as requiredPerform weld monitoring as requiredComplete all associated documentation and forms for individual inspectionsWriting and tracking of non-conformance reportsSupport QC activities associated with the project requirementsWhat You Bring To The TeamGraduate secondary school education in welding technology, QA/QC or a related discipline at the University or College levelCWB W178.2 Level 2 Certified Welding Inspector requiredAWS Certified Welding Inspector qualification preferredKnowledgeable in ASME B&PV Code, (including Nuclear), CWB experience, ANSI N690, and AWS D1.1Computer literate in MS OfficePrevious experience in inspections and controls within a Nuclear Quality Program would be considered an assetGood communication and organizational skillsAble to effectively interact with people at all levels of the organization with view to implementing quality requirements and objectivesAecon fosters diversity, inclusion and belonging within and across our organization.
