This role involves collaborating with a musician to blend and layer vocals onto AI-generated instrumentals, ensuring the final mix maintains the original instrumental feel while highlighting the vocal performance. The position requires ongoing work, with 2 to 4 projects per month, and focuses on achieving a natural, cohesive sound that suits the vocalist’s range. The ideal candidate will have a keen ear for pitch, balance, and musicality, and be able to deliver high-quality mixes efficiently for personal music projects. Responsibilities Blend and mix provided vocal tracks with AI-generated instrumentals, preserving the integrity of the original instrumental. Adjust pitch and key as needed to ensure the final mix complements the vocalist’s range and sounds natural. Provide a short 30-second sample mix for each new project to demonstrate fit and approach. Communicate effectively with the client to understand artistic vision and incorporate feedback. Deliver polished, ready-to-release audio files within agreed timelines. Maintain consistency and quality across multiple ongoing projects. Skills And Requirements Proficiency in vocal mixing, layering, and audio engineering for music projects. Experience working with AI-generated instrumentals or similar digital music platforms is a plus. Strong understanding of pitch correction, EQ, compression, and effects processing. Ability to work with various audio file formats and DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations). Excellent attention to detail and a collaborative, communicative approach. Availability for ongoing work (2–4 projects per month). Ability to deliver short sample mixes as part of the selection process.
