Process Control & Machine Operator(s) – Forklift Duties Join Ice River Sustainable Solutions as a Process Control & Machine Operator(s) – Forklift Duties. Our facility in Feversham, Ontario provides a forward‑thinking, eco‑friendly environment that values teamwork, learning, and career growth. These are full‑time positions based on a 40‑hour week. We seek individuals able to work a 12‑hour rotating continental shift, including nights and weekends, and who can securely operate forklifts while supporting production efficiency. Responsibilities Operate forklift safely to move, load, and unload materials, packaging, and finished products throughout facility. Run bottling processing equipment via digital control panels, configure settings, track data in real time, troubleshoot, and apply system updates. Maintain accurate production records, conduct inspections, and report any quality deficiencies. Analyze production line flow using KPIs to optimize throughput and reduce downtime. Identify and assess safety hazards, conduct risk analysis, and ensure compliance with lockout/tagout, emergency stop mechanisms, and other safety protocols. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals. Perform routine cleaning and sanitation in compliance with industry standards and food safety regulations. Use advanced material-handling techniques, including proper ergonomic practices and protective gear. Supply production lines with preforms, labels, caps, and other materials as needed. Stack and organize pallets in designated storage areas following safety standards. Perform inventory checks by scanning or recording pallet numbers. Provide flexible support on the production line, including tasks such as packaging, quality inspection, or machine operation, as needed. Follow SOPs and technical guidelines for all production processes. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Completion of high school required. Some post‑secondary education required; must understand technical instructions and user manuals. Two years of experience on a plastics injection or bottling line required. Two years operating a forklift in a manufacturing environment required; heavy‑equipment experience preferred. Able to work independently and within a small team in a fast‑paced environment. Maintain high levels of attendance. Positive attitude and upbeat personality. Strong attention to detail. Compensation Starting wage $23.75 – $24.00 per hour, with a $0.25 increase after a 3‑month probation period. Eligible for a Line Efficiency Bonus (LEF) ranging from $10 to $20 per shift based on LEF goals. Overtime paid at 1.5‑time rate after 88 hours in a 2‑week cycle. 10 days of paid vacation per year. Extended medical, dental, and long‑term disability insurance. Participation in a retirement savings plan. Inbound transportation costs and private health care coverage for out‑of‑province applicants until eligible for provincial insurance. Incremental raises in accordance with company policies. Working Environment and Physical Demands Shift work, including nights and weekends. Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds or more. Standing and walking for extended periods on hard surfaces. Regular bending, stooping, and reaching. Manual dexterity required for machinery controls and computer systems. Good visual and auditory acuity. Use of personal protective equipment.
